We’re thrilled to announce that we’re upgrading XMUM Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) to a newer version! This upgrade is aimed at enhancing your learning experience and modernizing our technological infrastructure.
The first Moodle Upgrade Awareness Day was held on 24th May 2024 at Library first floor Instruction Room, where we briefed our academic staff community about the upcoming transition. This session aimed to inform and create awareness among Moodle lecturers about the changes associated with this upgrade.
Why the upgrade? To provide you with:
During the session, we showcased the revamped Moodle interface through live demonstrations, highlighting its cleaner design and improved navigation. New features such as the text editor, course index usage, question versioning, and course reuse were also introduced.
The briefing included an interactive Q&A session to address participants’ questions and concerns. Most questions were about the Moodle training timeline, which will commence in late June 2024 and continue through August 2024, and the Moodle system upgrade target schedule by end of August 2024 or early September 2024.
Valuable feedback was collected from participants using the in-house developed Participant Tracking System (vt.xmu.edu.my) capturing online participants feedback.
