On 23 February 2026, XMUM Library Level 2 wasn’t just a study space anymore, it became a whole cultural experience.
The “Echoes of Spring: Chinese Orchestra Performance” by Yanan Chinese Orchestra (YCO) brought the Library’s Grand Reading Corridor to life with vibrant, festive melodies that instantly changed the mood of the entire space.
The music drew in not only students, but also staff from across Block A3, including IT Department, Student Recruitment Office and Academic Affairs, all gathered, paused their work, and just vibed together. For 30 minutes, the library turned into something unexpected. Alive, energetic, and full of culture.
Held in conjunction with the Spring Festival and the beginning of the February Semester, the event was designed to create a welcoming and positive start to the academic term. It also served to promote cultural appreciation and strengthen the sense of community within XMUM.
This is what XMUM Library is about now. Not just books, not just silence.
A space where you study, explore, and experience something different.
More events. More vibes. More reasons to be here.
