In 24 Dec 2025, the Xiamen Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra (XMPO) collaborated with the Xiamen University Malaysia Library to present Symphony of Snow and Stories, a special stage performance held as part of the Cozy Christmas Eve Event. This landmark performance marked the first time a university philharmonic orchestra performed inside a campus library in Malaysia, setting a new milestone for campus-based arts and cultural initiatives.
The library was transformed into an intimate performance space, with bookshelves and study areas forming a distinctive backdrop for live orchestral music. Students, staff, and guests experienced classical music up close in a setting that blended artistic expression with academic calm.
XMPO delivered a carefully curated repertoire that was both elegant and accessible, allowing audiences of all backgrounds to appreciate the performance. Enhanced by the library’s natural acoustics, the music created a warm and reflective atmosphere, strengthening the connection between performers and listeners.
